This type of car theft is usually high powered and expensive cars that the thieves target. Quite often these are gangs of thieves who know exactly which type of cars they are looking for, in order for them to be resold. They will take the car somewhere to file of serial numbers, change locks and even the number plates may get changed. If this happens to you there may be a chance that you do not see your car again.

The most important thing for all car owners today is to check that you lock your car securely at all times. Another thing you may want to consider is calling into your local garage or car shop and inquire about any device you can fit on your car that can help to prevent it being stolen.
